We are looking for an experienced Van Sales Consultant to join our multi-award-winning team here at eStar!

The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying and securing new business within the local Northwest area, experienced in business-to-business sales and be a strong relationship builder who can demonstrate our eStar values at all times to the customer.

Package Details:

  • Competitive salary

  • Field based with frequent travel to customer sites and between all eStar sites across the Northwest
  • 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30

Key Purpose of the Job:

  • Identifying new business as well as looking after existing light commercial vehicle customers
  • Achieving set sales targets
  • To actively promote the Mercedes-Benz brand representing eStar Truck and Van Ltd, in a professional manner at all times

Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for identifying new business and building lasting relationships with prospects
  • Utilise SalesForce and ensure that all prospects and clients are contacted, followed up, regular contact is maintained, and all relevant information is updated
  • Work with the Sales Support Function to monitor the progress of all sold orders to ensure that deadlines are met
  • Understand and promote the importance of electric vehicles and charging infrastructure
  • Ensure that the demonstrator fleet is effectively used to maximise sales
  • Informing and advising customers on Mercedes-Benz light goods vehicles and other products
  • Explaining differences between Mercedes-Benz light goods vehicles and competitors' vehicles
  • Evaluating used light goods vehicles and arranging for technical appraisals to be carried out
  • Organising and carrying out test-drives and evaluating results
  • Compiling and sending out offers
  • Well-targeted and continuous planning of acquisition of new customers
  • Involvement in sales events e.g. ride and drive type events/exhibitions
  • Fostering contacts to key individuals, associations and groups in the region
  • Explaining financing and leasing opportunities and insurances and arranging relevant contracts
  • Concluding sales, negotiating terms and obtaining agreements to draw up sales contracts
  • Offering and selling service packages
  • Recording the customer's order and amendments, preparing cost calculation and passing them on to the respective department
  • Supervising all relevant processes up to delivery
  • Handing over vehicle and introducing customer to the vehicle
  • Regularly obtain and record customer feedback and initiate relevant measures

Skills and Competencies Required:

  • Ability to source, establish and grow customer relationships
  • Previous sales experience, preferably in the commercial vehicle industry
  • Business-to-business sales experience
  • Full and clean UK driving licence
  • Enthusiasm to deliver the Mercedes-Benz customer experience
  • Good administration skills/organisation skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Flexible approach to work and adaptable to thrive in a changing environment
  • IT literate
