Group Parts Manager

Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our award winning team here at eStar as Group Parts Manager.

This newly created role will be responsible for leading our Parts teams across all sites to maximise parts sales and revenue through various channels. You will have the opportunity to introduce an online sales channel to expand our customer reach, develop a broader range of parts to sell, as well as ensure we are utilising the best technology to continue moving the Parts function forward.

Package Details:

  • Competitive salary - to be discussed at interview
  • Knowsley Head Office based, with travel to other eStar sites required
  • 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:00

Key Purpose of the Job:

  • Maximise all parts sales and revenue opportunities through sales via eStar workshops
  • Maximise parts sales revenues through third party sales (over the counter)
  • Introduce and maximise an online sales channel for third party sales
  • Oversee and implement a centralisation of parts stock for the eStar group – thus creating a central location for all parts stock and returns
  • To deliver the Operative Plan for eStar group parts sales through maximising all sales and revenue channels, and ensuring strict cost control
  • Ensure all stock control measures are implemented and improved through introduction of better technology
  • Introduce and develop a broader range of parts to sell alongside the OEM parts of Mercedes-Benz Vans, Daimler Trucks and Buses and Unimog

Accountabilities:

  • To deliver the financial plan
  • To ensure vigorous stock controls and reduce obsolescence
  • To ensure parts stock is optimised and is in line with Daimler/MB processes i.e. RIMS
  • To delight the customer base and grow the number of customers
  • To introduce new technology
  • Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure compliance with eStar processes and policies
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on KPIs to ensure the growth and operative plans are achieved

Skills and Competencies Required:

  • Ability to tackles tasks in a structured systematic manner, ensuring completion to plan and to quality standards
  • Structured and strategic thinker with a long-term view
  • An understanding of parts wholesale and retail operations is essential
  • Online selling experience is an advantage
  • IT literate and competent
  • Relevant health and Safety accreditation
  • Customer Centric, Innovative, Collaborative and must operate with Integrity
